After taking the exam, I graded all of them on the spot and the students knew right away what they received. They were obviously pleased with their grades and they all shared in each other's joy.
After a moment or two, the class grew quiet and Jeremie asked if he could share a speech with me on behalf of the class. I, of course, said yes. He looked me in the eyes from across the room and shared with me how much the class had learned and how they were no longer fearful of the book of Revelation and what God had planned. He told me that they understood better how to teach the book and to focus on the major themes in the book with the people in their church rather than the fine details.
He thanked me for the sacrifice of my time and money to come out and teach them and they were grateful for that.
He then asked if I would pray for them.
As I prayed for them, I was struck with the overwhelming realization that I would not see these men again until we joined each other in heaven. It was overwhelming for me as I prayed for them and the churches that they would be going to and all that God had for them and I began to cry. As I stammered through the rest of my prayer for them, it was a neat time to lift the class before the Lord.
At the end I chucked with them as I wiped my eyes and told them, "See what you guys did, you made me start to cry." Some of the students were also wiping away some tears to.
Those moments made my trip worthwhile!
