It started raining this morning sometime before 5:00 and all I know is that about 5 am we heard a HUGE clap of thunder and the power went out all about the same time. I woke up and rolled over and went back to sleep for a little while. When I woke up an hour later it was still raining. I got up and got dressed, it was still raining. We left for class, it was still raining. Janet took us today to the class and when we made the right hand turn off of the main road onto the dirt road, well, mud road the school is on, she got out of the car and locked the wheels for four wheel drive. Oh by the way, it was still raining. We made our way up to the seminary, picking up some students in the car along the way, (in the rain). When we got to the seminary, we got out in the rain and walked with an umbrella to our classroom. While I was teaching, it rained. Just when I got done teaching though, guess what. . . it stopped!
We had a several hour downpour that left it a little harder to get around on the dirt roads and now it does seem to have cleared off and is warming back up to normal. It was nice to have cooler temperatures to be able to teach in today.
