To my Church Family,
I have been walking every morning at 5:30 a.m. with Heidi and some of the team walks with us. It is the same route everyday but each morning I see different things. I noticed on Thursday morning some large birds and asked if they were crows. Heidi said yes and they had white chests. The next one I saw I looked him over pretty good and noticed that his white chest was just like a "wife beater" T-shirt. Every crow has the same T-shirt on!
Yesterday at 4:30 we went shopping. The first stop was a nice little place where artist sell their wares. I bought Autumn something. Then we went to the "batter mall" and haggled with the muslim shop owners over prices on everything. I bought some stuff for 3,000 CFA's and a pack of gum. He originally wanted 7,500. He was pleased with the gum.
Today I am preaching God's word and my interpreter according to Heidi is excellent his name is Gaspar. I will preach twice once in French the other in Sango. I am relying on the Lord for this to be used by Him for His glory as I am awe struck by being used in His great commission to spread His word to different tribes and nations.
I have taken 27 pictures so far and will shoot some at church today.
The things you see are hard to understand. Why in the year of 2011 there can be so much poverty and lack of infra structure. The poor we will have with us always so our master has said. I can assure you the poor in our country are wealthy and our news media that is fond of telling us just how many of our citizens are living below the "poverty line" need to come here for a day.
