Today we went to the smaller orphan center on the other side of town. We were able to take the pictures of about 325 orphans! It was so fun. When we got out of the truck we were literally mobbed. I couldn't walk because I had a crowd of children around me all trying to hold my hand and touch me. Teachers from the school had to come and help us walk through the crowd. It is was so unreal - like nothing I would experience in the states. We really feel like rock stars here. White people are such a novelty!
I was able to be the mail lady today! It was a really cool job. I delivered the letters and packages that sponsors from the states had sent. And had my picture taken with each one. I was able to deliver 2 packages from people from our church which was especially neat. I always get tears in my eyes when meeting the kids that people I know are sponsoring. They are so precious. I want to bring all of them home with me.
This evening we will work on the computers to rename all the picture files with the names of the orphans. And hopefully go to bed at a decent time. (Here in Africa - that's about 9 pm :)
