Thursday, December 1

Today is the first day.  Things are going really well.  We arrived last night about an hour late with ALL of our luggage!  We had supper and then I went to bed.  I had a headache and took some tylenol pm with supper.  By the time we were done eating, I was in such a fog that I took a shower and went to bed about 9 pm.  I was able to sleep until about 7 am this morning.
Today is the Independence Day for the CAR, so it is a major holiday.  It is a big vacation day.  School was closed, but we still went to the Orphan Center this morning to get a start on packing the gifts.  We had about 7 orphans who showed up to help us unload the supplies and pack.  Gary and Cindy (the married couple on the team) were able to meet one of their sponsor kids and Brenda was able to see her boy again.  They helped us and it was fun to see them interact together.
This afternoon is light - we will go to the pool and then do some paperwork stuff tonight.  Tomorrow we are supposed to start taking pictures of the high school students.  Pray that the students will show up so we can take their pictures.  Also, I have another headache today, so pray that I can figure out how to deal with some of the physical aspects of the trip.
Going to take a nap now...
