Jeff's First Email. . .

Greetings church family:

Anita, Autumn, and I left Lexington, Ohio at 6:12a.m. on Oct, 4th and I arrived in Bangui at 5ish p.m. on Oct. 5th.  The flights went well the layovers were not so bad, fun watching people and getting better acquainted with the team.  I am 8600 miles from home give or take a mile or two.  Our electric and water and internet has been off and on each day we are coping so far.

The airport at Bangui was , how shall I put it…..overstaffed and under organized?  Kinda of scarry but highly interesting.  They checked our pass port a lot and we only lost one trunk.  All of mine made it.

The weather has been good so far, had big rains on Wednesday night and Thursday out at the job site.  We are working till noon tomorrow (Saturday) then will do some guided site seeing here in town.

Pray for my sermon preparation as I am preaching Sunday.  I work on it daily, the text is John 13:1-5.

Will write more tomorrow.

In His service,
Jeff O.
