Out of Gas . . . . . . Times Two

Well this morning got off to an interesting start.  On the way to the seminary this morning, I was the only one in the van because Clancy and his guys went to the Hand In Hand School that they support first thing.  On the way to the seminary, we pulled in a gas station and literally as we pulled in, the van ran out of gas.  Samuel, the driver, was able to get the van started after several tries just enough to pull up to a gas pump.

The moment he stopped at the pump, the people who were sitting around the station came out to Samuel and began jabbering back and forth in Sango.  Here the gas station was out of gas as well.

So Samuel walked into the station and grabbed a gas can that was about a gallon in size and walked to the gas station that was immediately across the street and got a gallon of gas to put in the van.  I was pretty nervous that we weren't going to make it the rest of the way across town to the seminary, but we got there in plenty of time.

On the way home, I asked Clancy to glance up at the gas gauge to see what it said, and he said the gauge was on full.  Whew.  Another disaster diverted!
