Church
We went to church this morning at a Grace Brethren Church called Gnoumboutou. The church building was built in the last year - it was very nice it had tile floor and wood ceiling. The pastor is Nadijilao Simon Pierre, but he wasn't there today, so we heard a guest speaker who spoke on 2 Timothy 3:16-17. We were ushered into a seat of honor - the front row! Most of us in America wouldn't image that the front row is a place of honor - more like horror - but I am used to sitting there, so I was happy we were in the front row and not on the stage.
The choir singing is always a highlight for me - this choir even had coordinating dance moves during their song. The box at the front is the offering plate. They divide the offering by districts - we put ours in the middle visitor box - and our $50 between the 5 Americans who attended could make this the biggest offering of the year.
It's another hot day here, so hopefully after I talk with my church on Skype, we will be able to go to the pool.
