This morning I was up about 5:30 am and got around and got a pot of coffee started and began to look over my notes for class today. It didn’t take long before I heard the door open and in walks Rosalie, one of the ladies that works at the mission and does most of the cooking.
She saw me, did a little dance and gave me a hug. She is my age and just had her first child, Isabelle, four months ago after years and years of trying with her husband. She promised that we would be able to meet Isabelle and I hope that is true. She asked about my family and wondered if Christy was going to come back again and I told her that she would be coming back at the end of November. She clapped her hands, glad that she was coming back.
We had a great breakfast with the construction team with 12 of us sitting around the table and walking away completely filled up.
We were getting ready to leave about 7:30 this morning and I was a little bummed that I hadn’t yet seen Ann, the other lady who works here at the house. She is all personality and has recently been widowed. When she saw me, she also gave me a big hug and said, “Welcome back to Bangui” in pretty good English.
It was good to see them again!
